More from Zeitguised

Today I have been researching through the depths of the inter-web for 3D studios based in London. On my journey I came across another amazing piece of abstract animation from Zeitguised. I first saw their work in one of Andy Love's lecture. Love it!

Rubik's Cube Animation

Well that was a lot easier and less time consuming than I thought it was going to be thanks to Zigmar7. I used a very simple max script to animate this in a more realistic way so i'm happy about that because scripting scared me before now! The more I read up about 3D animation though, the more I realise its importance and needed.

Character Designing

My fellow 3D thespians,

Background: Last year and quite randomly in my Sandby halls bedroom, I created the basis of a story of two characters called Max and Wax (just realised I could've used them for my Animation project!! ah well...)

Over the past month or two I have been scripting, sketching, drawing, thinking, talking, laughing and crying (you get the idea-obsessing) about them.

I have just drawn the two subjects in question again for a competition I want to enter. I'm still not very good at drawing. Tried to use a reference image today but they ended up looking too real and different from the original sketches. Anyway I thought I would share them with you...

First we have Max then Wax.

Max was unfortunately born defected. His hands are joined together underneath his groin. He can still do things though with his feet and toes but walks a bit funny. However, he is a very clever guy.

Wax was also born with a defect. He has antlers coming out of his nostrils which means he might be half human and half reindeer...... . His antlers are VERY sensitive and when they are touched it makes him violently sneeze. So he's a bit clumsy and dim.

It's the classic big and small, smart and dum duo. Seems to have been a winning combination in the past, we'll see how it goes this time.

3D versions are hopefully on their way when I have more time.

Feedback is welcome please.
Thanks.

Band highlights for me at the Supersonic festival were Thorr's Hammer, Goblin, Corrupted, Earthless, Sunn O))) and (of course) Monotonix (pictured above). Looking forward to see all the picture's and video's that other people took at the festival. In the mean time here are my photographs...

A New Blog Template

I've been trying to find some good templates on and off over the year and finally after checking out Rob's blog I found some really nice templates. This is the first one I will stick with until I encounter problems. Let me know what you think!

Bulwell Academy Finished Product

For this project a group of around 30 students modeled the site. I participated in modeling the outer walls and roof of Block 1 & 2 which are the first two green roof buildings you can see at the beginning of the video. I also modeled the stairs and sign to the entrance.
